Disputes and opt-outs

A Legit Score is an opinion, and opinions can be challenged. Disputes and opt-outs are free for everyone, whether or not you have an account or a subscription, and they never count against a score.

How a dispute works

  1. Re-audit: we re-score the account automatically with a fresh, non-overlapping audience sample.
  2. Connect Data: you can connect your account through the official platform login, and we re-score it on your real statistics.
  3. Context: tell us what we can’t see, such as press coverage or a collaboration behind a spike.
  4. Analyst review: a person checks the evidence and can exclude activity aimed at your account that you didn’t cause.

We aim to acknowledge a dispute within 72 hours and resolve it within 14 days. While a dispute is open, the score shows “Under review”. If the review changes the score, the new score replaces the old one and shows the engine version used.

Opt out

You can object to our use of your data at any time. Account holders can ask us to hide a score and stop scoring the account. Anyone can ask to be left out of audience samples. To honour the request we keep only a one-way hash of the account identifier, so we don’t collect it again. See our privacy notice.
